Pagani has built three model lines: the Zonda, the Huayra, and the Utopia. Almost everything else in the lineup is a limited edition of one of those three, often built in runs of five or 10 cars. Every Pagani uses a V12 from Mercedes-AMG. The company was founded by Horacio Pagani, who grew up in a small town called Casilda, and it's based in San Cesario sul Panaro, near Modena, Italy. Hagerty dates the company's founding to 1992.

*A note on the numbers: Pagani quotes power in metric horsepower, which reads about 1.4 percent higher than US horsepower. The figures below are Pagani's.

Zonda (1999)

The Zonda C12 was "first unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show on the 9th March 1999," Pagani says. Motor1 reports that five C12s were built with a 6.0-liter V12.

The Zonda S followed, eventually with a 7.3-liter V12 making 555 hp. The Zonda F, which Pagani dedicated to racing driver Juan Manuel Fangio, arrived in 2005 with 602 hp, or 650 hp in Clubsport form. Top Gear says 25 coupes and 25 roadsters were built.

Then came the limited editions. The Zonda Cinque was built in just five units, plus five Cinque Roadsters. The Zonda R, shown at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, made 750 hp. Only three Zonda Tricolores were made in 2010, and the Zonda Revolución pushed output to 800 hp.

By 2019, Pagani counted "just 140 street legal examples in total since 1999." One-offs kept coming after that, including the Zonda HP Barchetta, unveiled at Pebble Beach in August 2017.

Huayra (2011)

The Huayra was unveiled in February 2011 at Pirelli's headquarters in Milan. It switched to a twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V12, the M158, rated at 544 kW (730 hp). Top Gear reports that the coupe's build run ended at 100 cars.

The Huayra family grew fast. In 2016, Horacio Pagani dedicated the Huayra BC to Benny, according to Pagani, and Top Gear reports all 20 were sold.

The Huayra Roadster followed with 764 hp, and the Huayra Roadster BC was limited to 40 cars. The Imola, built in just five examples, made 827 hp.

The Huayra R is the wild one. It uses a naturally aspirated V12 making 850 hp, developed with HWA and limited to 30 examples. The Huayra Codalunga came next in a run of five, followed by a Codalunga Speedster limited to 10.

Utopia (2022)

The Utopia was revealed in Milan on September 13, 2022. Pagani says it will be built in 99 units, and it offers "a real seven-speed manual transmission." Its twin-turbo V12 makes 864 hp by Pagani's rating, about 852 US horsepower.
