Pagani
Pagani's first hypercar (1999-2017). Mercedes-AMG V12 (later Carbo Titanium variants). Defined the modern artisanal Italian hypercar.
The Pagani Zonda is a hypercar produced from 1999 to 2017. The Zonda was Pagani first hypercar and established the brand reputation for artisanal construction. The Zonda used Mercedes-AMG V12 engines starting at 6.0L and growing to 7.3L across the run. Manual transmission was standard (later optional automated manual). Multiple Zonda variants were produced: P400 (1999-2009, 542 horsepower), C12 Zonda (refresh), Zonda S, Zonda F, Zonda Cinque, Zonda Tricolore, Zonda Revolución (track-only, 800 horsepower), and various other one-off and limited variants. Production volumes were very low (around 140 cars total over 18 years). The Zonda inspired the Pagani Huayra (2011+) and Utopia (2022+). Modern Zonda prices have appreciated dramatically; clean examples sell for $2-5 million+ at auction. On WhipJury, Zonda submissions are extremely rare but reliably top voting.
