The Mercedes-Benz GLE is a mid-size luxury SUV produced since 1997 (originally as M-Class, renamed to GLE in 2015). Multiple generations have refined the formula. The current W167 GLE (2019+) offers various engines from inline-six diesel and gasoline to twin-turbo V8 in the AMG GLE 63 variant making 603 horsepower combined with hybrid system. The AMG GLE 63 S Coupe is the focused performance variant. The GLE 53 AMG (mild hybrid inline-six) is the mid-tier sport variant. The Mercedes-Maybach GLE is the ultra-luxury variant. The GLE Coupe (2015+) is the sport-styled variant with sloping roofline. GLE Coupe and standard GLE share platform but have different proportions. On WhipJury, GLE submissions are uncommon but distinctive when they appear, particularly AMG variants and Coupe variants.
