The AMG ONE engine is derived from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 power unit. The V6 redlines at 11,000 rpm. Drivability has been a major engineering challenge; the F1-derived powertrain required years of refinement to be street-legal. Production was delayed multiple years from the original 2017-2018 announcement to actual 2022 deliveries. On WhipJury, AMG ONE submissions are essentially impossible due to limited production but reliably top voting if they appear.
