Lamborghini
Lamborghini's first V10 mid-engine supercar (2003-2013). Replaced as the entry-level Lamborghini before being replaced by the Huracan.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is a mid-engine V10 supercar produced from 2003 to 2013. The Gallardo was Lamborghini first V10 (vs the V12 used in flagship cars) and the most-produced Lamborghini ever (over 14,000 units). The Gallardo replaced the Lamborghini Diablo VT and various other entry-level variants. The Gallardo came in numerous trim levels. Standard Gallardo (5.0 V10, 500 horsepower). Gallardo Spyder (convertible). Gallardo Superleggera (lightweight performance). Gallardo LP 560-4 (refresh, with 5.2 V10, 552 horsepower). Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera (focused performance). Gallardo LP 570-4 Performante (the focused-but-comfortable variant). Gallardo Squadra Corse (final special edition). The Gallardo platform was shared with the Audi R8 (sister car). The Audi R8 used the same platform but with different chassis tuning (more refined for daily use). The Gallardo emphasized more aggressive Lamborghini character. On WhipJury, Gallardo submissions are common, particularly Superleggera and special edition variants.
