The Lamborghini Aventador is a V12 supercar produced from 2011 to 2022. The Aventador was Lamborghini flagship V12 supercar, replacing the Murcielago and continuing the V12 mid-engine lineage that traces to the original Miura. The Aventador used the L539 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 making 691-769 horsepower depending on trim. Single-clutch ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) automated manual transmission. AWD with electronically controlled torque distribution. The Aventador came in numerous variants: LP 700-4 (original 700 horsepower), LP 720-4 50th Anniversary, LP 750-4 SV (Superveloce, 740 horsepower), LP 770-4 SVJ (the Nürburgring lap record variant, 759 horsepower), and various Roadster (convertible) variants. The Aventador SVJ (2018-2019) was the most extreme variant. Set Nürburgring lap records for production cars at 6:44 in 2018. Aerodynamic ALA system, focused chassis tuning, and tuned V12 making 759 horsepower. Production was limited; the SVJ has aged into recognized future classic. Production ended in 2022 with the limited Aventador Ultimae as the swan song. The Aventador has been replaced by the Revuelto (2023+), a hybrid V12 with combined output around 1,000 horsepower. The Aventador represents the end of the pure naturally aspirated V12 supercar era at Lamborghini. On WhipJury, Aventador submissions are uncommon but always memorable. SVJ and SV variants reliably top voting. Stock Aventador examples in clean condition appear regularly.
