The Jaguar XE is the brand compact sport saloon, built on an aluminum-intensive platform to take on the BMW 3-Series and Audi A4. It offered four-cylinder and V6 engines with sharp, rear-drive-biased handling. The extreme XE SV Project 8, with a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 making 592 horsepower, became a limited-run track-focused special and a Nurburgring saloon record holder. It is a well-handling compact saloon. On WhipJury, the XE appears as a sharp modern Jaguar, with the rare Project 8 a halo car.
