Supercharged version of the XK grand tourer. Up to around 550 hp in XKR-S form. Fast and elegant.
The Jaguar XKR is the supercharged, high-performance version of the XK grand tourer. Across both generations it paired a supercharged AJ V8 with the elegant XK body, turning the comfortable GT into a genuinely quick one. The later XKR-S pushed output to around 550 horsepower with sharper aerodynamics and chassis tuning. It is a fast, refined grand tourer. On WhipJury, the XKR appears as a desirable supercharged GT, with the XKR-S the standout.

Supercharged AJ V8 (4.0, 4.2, then 5.0 liters), up to around 510 horsepower, or around 550 horsepower in the XKR-S. Rear-wheel drive. Automatic. Coupe and convertible.

What is the difference between XK and XKR?
The XKR adds a supercharger to the AJ V8 for substantially more power, plus uprated brakes and suspension. The XK is the naturally aspirated grand tourer; the XKR is the performance version.
What is the XKR-S?
The most extreme XKR, with around 550 horsepower, more aggressive aerodynamics, and sharper chassis tuning. It is the fastest and rarest XK.
How fast is the XKR?
The 5.0 liter supercharged cars run to 60 miles per hour in around 4.5 seconds, with the XKR-S a touch quicker and capable of around 186 miles per hour.
Is the XKR reliable?
Generally acceptable for a supercharged GT. The 5.0 liter supercharged V8 is robust; watch timing chain tensioners on certain V8s and keep up with cooling and supercharger maintenance.
