Jaguar
Long-running grand tourer (1975-1996). V12 and later inline-six and V6. A relaxed, elegant GT.
The Jaguar XJS is a grand tourer that ran for over two decades, succeeding the E-Type with a very different brief: relaxed, elegant high-speed cruising rather than sports-car sharpness. Early cars used the smooth 5.3 liter V12; later versions added a 6.0 liter V12 and AJ6 inline-six options, in coupe and convertible forms. Long undervalued, the XJS is now appreciated as an affordable classic GT. On WhipJury, the XJS appears as a stylish, characterful grand tourer, with V12 convertibles especially liked.
5.3 then 6.0 liter V12, or AJ6 inline-six (and later a V6 abroad). Rear-wheel drive. Automatic or manual (early). Coupe and convertible grand tourer.
