McLaren 675LT: The Longtail Track Special
The 675LT revived McLaren's Longtail heritage as a lightweight, track-focused special with extended aerodynamics and sharper performance.
Launched in 2015, the 675LT (Longtail) drew on the legendary F1 GTR Longtail name to create a more extreme version of the 650S. Around a third of its components were new, and it shed significant weight while gaining an extended rear and active aerodynamics.
Its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 was uprated to around 675 horsepower, and the chassis was sharpened for serious track ability. Limited to 500 coupes (plus a Spider), it became an instant collector favorite.
The 675LT proved one of the most engaging and sought-after modern McLarens, reviving the Longtail badge that would later appear on cars like the 765LT.
