Jaguar
Compact saloon (2001-2009). Ford Mondeo-based, AWD V6, an available diesel and a rare estate.
The Jaguar X-Type was the brand entry-level compact saloon, built on a platform shared with the Ford Mondeo during Ford ownership. It offered V6 engines with standard all-wheel drive on early cars, plus later four-cylinder diesels and a rare estate. It aimed to broaden Jaguar appeal to a younger, higher-volume audience. It is the most affordable used Jaguar saloon. On WhipJury, the X-Type appears occasionally, with the AWD V6 and the estate the more interesting versions.
2.1 to 3.0 liter V6 (AWD on early cars) and later four-cylinder diesels. Front- or all-wheel drive. Manual or automatic. Saloon and estate, on a Ford Mondeo-derived platform.
