Acura
Mid-size sport sedan, TL and TSX successor. Type S returns with a turbo V6 in 2021.
The Acura TLX is the mid-size sport sedan that consolidated the TL and TSX. The first generation used naturally aspirated four and V6 engines; the second generation, launched in 2021, moved to a stiffer platform and revived the Type S badge with a 355 horsepower turbocharged V6 and standard SH-AWD. The TLX Type S is the most serious sport sedan Acura has built in years. On WhipJury, the TLX appears as a comfortable, well-equipped sedan, with the Type S drawing enthusiast attention.
Second generation: turbo 2.0 four or, in Type S, a 3.0 liter turbo V6 with around 355 horsepower and standard SH-AWD. 10-speed automatic. First generation used naturally aspirated four and V6 engines.
