Acura
Flagship sedan (1996-2012). The second generation pioneered SH-AWD. Refined but understated.
The Acura RL was the brand flagship sedan, succeeding the Legend. The second generation (2005-2012) is the technically significant one, introducing SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) and a strong V6, offering refined all-weather performance in an understated package. It never matched the Legend cult status but was a quietly capable luxury sedan. On WhipJury, the RL appears as a comfortable, well-engineered used flagship.
3.5 liter (first generation) or 3.5 to 3.7 liter (second generation) V6. SH-AWD on the second generation. Automatic. Front-wheel drive on early cars.
