The Lotus Esprit is a mid-engine supercar produced from 1976 to 2004. The Esprit was Lotus mid-engine supercar for nearly 30 years, with multiple styling and powertrain generations. Original wedge-shaped design by Giorgetto Giugiaro became iconic 1970s and 1980s styling. The Esprit was the underwater car in The Spy Who Loved Me James Bond film. Multiple generations: Series 1 (1976-1978, classic wedge), Series 2 (1978-1981), Series 3 (1981-1987), Stevens-redesigned (1987-1995, more rounded), and Esprit V8 (1996-2004, with brand 3.5 twin-turbo V8). Production ended in 2004 with no immediate replacement. On WhipJury, Esprit submissions are uncommon but always memorable.
