Lotus 2-Eleven: The Track-Focused Speedster
The 2-Eleven was an extreme, track-focused Lotus, a windscreen-less speedster built for maximum lightweight performance.
Produced from 2007, the 2-Eleven was a hardcore, track-day Lotus based on the Elise but stripped of comfort and even a windscreen in pursuit of pure performance. It embodied founder Colin Chapman's philosophy of adding lightness to the extreme.
Powered by a supercharged four-cylinder, the 2-Eleven offered a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio and serious aerodynamic downforce, making it one of the fastest Lotus models around a track. Some versions were road-legal in certain markets.
The 2-Eleven is a rare, focused track weapon that distilled Lotus's lightweight ethos into its purest, most extreme road-and-track form.
