Chevrolet Spark: The Tiny City Car
The Spark was Chevrolet's smallest car, a budget-friendly city car prized for low cost, easy parking, and good fuel economy.
Sold globally and in the US from around 2013, the Spark was a minicar designed for urban driving and affordability. Among the cheapest new cars available, it offered a surprisingly usable interior for its tiny footprint and easy maneuverability in tight cities.
Powered by a small four-cylinder engine, the Spark prioritized economy over performance, and an electric Spark EV was offered in limited markets. Its low price made it a popular choice for budget and first-time buyers.
Chevrolet discontinued the Spark around 2022 as the brand moved away from small cars, ending its run as an affordable entry point to new-car ownership.
