Porsche 911 GT2 RS: The Most Extreme 911
The 911 GT2 RS is the wildest, most powerful 911 of its era, a rear-drive, twin-turbo track weapon long nicknamed the Widowmaker.
The GT2 RS sits at the very top of the 911 hierarchy, combining the turbocharged flat-six of the 911 Turbo with rear-wheel drive and aggressive weight reduction. The result is a car of immense power and reputation for being demanding to drive at the limit, which earned earlier GT2 models the Widowmaker nickname.
The most celebrated version, based on the 991-generation 911, produced around 700 horsepower from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six, making it the most powerful road-going 911 of its time. In 2018 a GT2 RS set a then-record lap for production cars around the Nurburgring Nordschleife, underlining its extraordinary capability.
Built in limited numbers with extensive carbon fiber and optional Weissach packages for further weight savings, the GT2 RS is a collector favorite and a halo car that showcases the absolute peak of 911 performance engineering.
