Pontiac Bonneville: The Sporty Full-Size Pontiac
The Bonneville was Pontiac's full-size car for decades, ranging from glamorous 1960s models to sporty modern performance sedans.
The Bonneville name, used from 1957, was Pontiac's full-size flagship for much of the brand's history. Early Bonnevilles were stylish, powerful full-size cars, and the 1960s models in particular are prized for their bold design and V8 performance.
Later Bonnevilles became front-wheel-drive sedans, with sportier SSEi and GXP versions adding supercharged or V8 power and a performance edge that fit Pontiac's image. It balanced full-size comfort with a sporting character.
The Bonneville served as a Pontiac mainstay across many generations before being discontinued in 2005, remembered for blending full-size space with Pontiac performance flair.
