Maserati Grecale: The Trident's Take on the Compact SUV
The Grecale is Maserati's smaller SUV, slotting beneath the Levante to take on the Porsche Macan with turbo power and an all-electric option.
Revealed in 2022, the Grecale is Maserati's entry into the lucrative compact luxury SUV segment, sharing much of its underpinnings with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio while wrapping them in distinctly Maserati design and trim. The name follows tradition, referring to a Mediterranean wind.
The range opens with mild-hybrid four-cylinder engines and tops out with the Trofeo, which borrows the Nettuno twin-turbo V6 from the MC20 supercar for around 530 horsepower. A fully electric Folgore version adds a battery-powered option to the lineup.
Inside, the Grecale showcases Maserati's modern cabin with multiple digital screens and a focus on craftsmanship. It is a pivotal model for the brand, aimed at winning younger buyers from established German rivals.
