Introduced in 2010, the F-150 Raptor pioneered the factory desert-racing truck concept. It features long-travel suspension with specialized Fox shocks, a widened track, knobby tires, and skid plates, all designed for high-speed off-road performance.
Powered by a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 (and later a supercharged V8 in the Raptor R), it combines serious power with the ability to soak up rough terrain at speed. It became the benchmark for the off-road performance truck segment, inspiring rivals like the Ram TRX.
