Ford GT: The Modern Le Mans Supercar
The Ford GT is a carbon fiber, EcoBoost V6 supercar built to honor the GT40 and return Ford to victory at Le Mans.
The Ford GT name has appeared on two modern supercars. The 2005 to 2006 GT was a V8-powered tribute to the legendary GT40, while the 2017 GT was a radical, aerodynamically focused carbon fiber machine powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 producing around 660 horsepower.
The latest GT was developed alongside a racing program that delivered a class win at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, 50 years after the GT40's historic 1966 victory. Its dramatic flying-buttress design and active aerodynamics prioritized downforce and speed.
Built in strictly limited numbers and sold through an application process, the Ford GT is a rare, track-focused halo car celebrating Ford's racing heritage.
