The Ferrari F50 is a halo supercar produced from 1995 to 1997 to commemorate Ferrari 50th anniversary. The F50 used the F130B 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 derived from Formula 1 engineering, making 513 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. Production was limited to 349 cars globally. The F50 was Ferrari attempt to create a true F1-influenced road car. The chassis was carbon fiber. The V12 was naturally aspirated and revved high. The transmission was manual six-speed. The car had no driver aids, no power steering, and a focused racing-derived feel. Modern F50 prices have appreciated significantly. Clean examples sell for $4-6 million+ at auction. The F50 is widely considered one of the great halo Ferraris. On WhipJury, F50 submissions are extremely rare but reliably top voting when they appear.
