Ferrari 348: The Angular 1990s V8
The 348 was Ferrari's angular, Testarossa-inspired mid-engine V8 of the early 1990s, bridging the 328 and the F355.
Produced from 1989 to 1995, the 348 succeeded the 328 with sharper, more angular styling featuring side strakes inspired by the Testarossa. It introduced a longitudinally mounted 3.4-liter V8 with a transverse gearbox, a new layout for Ferrari's V8 cars.
The 348 offered around 300 horsepower and was available as the tb coupe and ts targa, later the Spider. While early cars drew some criticism for their handling, the 348 remains a striking and increasingly appreciated 1990s Ferrari.
The 348 is a distinctive bridge between Ferrari's 1980s and later V8 supercars, prized for its bold Testarossa-influenced design and characterful V8.
