Buick Electra: The Full-Size Luxury Flagship
The Electra was Buick's full-size luxury car for decades, offering spacious comfort and a smooth ride near the top of the lineup.
Produced from 1959 to 1990, the Electra was Buick's premium full-size car, positioned near the top of the range. Known for its size, comfort, and smooth ride, it offered the kind of plush, quiet motoring that defined American luxury cars of its era.
The Electra, especially in upscale 225 (Deuce and a Quarter) form, featured powerful V8 engines, generous dimensions, and lavish appointments. Later models downsized but retained their comfort focus.
The Electra was a symbol of Buick's traditional full-size luxury before being replaced by the Park Avenue. The name has more recently been revived for Buick electric concepts in China.
