The F-150 Lightning is Ford's all-electric version of America's best-selling truck, blending familiar capability with electric power and innovation.
Launched in 2022, the F-150 Lightning brought electric power to the iconic F-150. It retains the truck's familiar look and utility while adding dual electric motors, instant torque, and standard all-wheel drive, with strong acceleration and towing capability.
A standout feature is its large frunk (front trunk) and the ability to power tools, a campsite, or even a home during an outage via its substantial battery and bidirectional charging. The Lightning aimed to make EV ownership practical for traditional truck buyers.
The Lightning name previously adorned high-performance gas F-150s, but the electric Lightning represents Ford's bold push to electrify its most important vehicle.
