Ferrari Dino: The Beloved Junior Ferrari
The Dino was a beautiful mid-engine V6 sports car, a junior Ferrari named in honor of Enzo Ferrari's son.
Produced from 1968 to 1976, the Dino (206 GT and 246 GT) was a landmark mid-engine sports car. Sold under the Dino sub-brand rather than the Ferrari name, it honored Enzo Ferrari's late son Alfredino, who championed the V6 engine it used.
The Dino featured gorgeous, curvaceous Pininfarina styling widely regarded as among the most beautiful ever, and a mid-mounted V6 that delivered nimble, balanced performance. It was Ferrari's first mid-engine road car for a wider audience.
Once overlooked because it lacked a V12 and the Ferrari badge, the Dino is now cherished as one of the most beautiful and significant Ferraris, with values to match.
