BMW
BMW M Division's coupe variant of M3. Same drivetrain, two-door body. F82 (2014-2020) and G82 (2021+) generations.
The BMW M4 is the coupe variant of the M3, sharing drivetrain and chassis but with two-door body and slightly different proportions. The M4 launched in 2014 with the F82 generation (alongside the M3 F80 sedan), making 425 horsepower from the S55 twin-turbo inline-six. The current G82 M4 (2021+) makes 473-543 horsepower from the S58 twin-turbo inline-six, with optional xDrive AWD on Competition models. The M4 GTS (limited 2016 variant) used water injection to make 493 horsepower; only 800 cars produced globally. The M4 CSL (2022-2023) is the modern lightweight focused variant, making 543 horsepower with reduced weight and aggressive aerodynamics. Both are highly collectible. The M4 Competition variant adds more power and stiffer chassis tuning. The Competition xDrive (AWD) was added for 2022. M4 GT3 (race-only) extended the platform into competitive racing. On WhipJury, M4 submissions are common across both generations.
