Wheel fitment style where the wheel face sits flush with the fender lip. Origin of the broader stance movement.
Hellaflush refers to a wheel fitment style in which the outer face of the wheel sits flush with the outermost fender lip. The wheel does not poke beyond the fender (which would be poke or hellapoke); the wheel does not sit recessed inside the fender (which would be sunk). The visual goal is precise alignment.
The term originated in Northern California tuner culture in the early 2000s, with the website Hellaflush.com (founded 2008) serving as a major early influence. The "hella" prefix is San Francisco Bay Area slang for "very" or "really." The style spread globally and helped seed the broader stance movement.
Achieving true hellaflush requires careful planning of wheel offset, tire size, and ride height. Most builds use stretched tires (narrower than the wheel) to allow aggressive offsets without the tire bulging. Some builds also use camber to tuck the wheel slightly to fine-tune the fitment.
