Toyota first dedicated EV. Electric crossover on the e-TNGA platform.
The Toyota bZ4X is the brand first dedicated mass-market electric vehicle, a mid-size electric crossover built on the e-TNGA platform developed with Subaru (which sells a sister model, the Solterra). The bZ4X offers a spacious interior, available all-wheel drive, and Toyota focus on reliability and battery longevity. The bZ name stands for Beyond Zero, Toyota electric sub-brand. While Toyota approached pure EVs cautiously compared to rivals, the bZ4X marked its serious entry into the dedicated electric crossover market. On WhipJury, the bZ4X appears as Toyota debut dedicated electric crossover.
