MINI Aceman: The All-Electric Urban Crossover
The MINI Aceman is a new all-electric compact crossover launched in 2024, positioned between the Cooper hatch and the larger Countryman and sold exclusively as a battery-electric vehicle.
The Aceman made its production debut in 2024 as the first MINI model to be offered exclusively as a battery-electric vehicle from launch, with no petrol alternative. It fills a gap in the lineup between the small Cooper hatch and the larger Countryman SUV, occupying a compact crossover niche that has become one of the fastest-growing segments in European and Asian markets. The name revives a concept car title MINI used in 2022 to preview the model's styling direction, a cleaner and more modern interpretation of MINI design language that retains the brand's characteristic roundness and playfulness.
Two variants are available: a standard Aceman E with a 54.2 kWh usable battery and around 305 km WLTP range, and a more powerful Aceman SE with the same battery but a higher-output motor producing around 218 horsepower. Both are front-wheel drive. The interior follows the fourth-generation MINI template with a circular OLED display at its centre, a minimalist dash with projector-based ambient graphics, and MINI's extensive personalisation palette applied to exterior colours, roof finishes, and interior trim combinations.
DC rapid charging at up to 95 kW allows 10-to-80-percent recharging in approximately 30 minutes. The Aceman is built at the same Spotlight Automotive joint-venture facility in China as the Cooper SE, and competes with models such as the Citroen e-C4 and the forthcoming Renault 4 E-Tech. A John Cooper Works performance variant of the Aceman has been confirmed for future production.
