Jeep Wrangler JL: The Refined Modern Wrangler
The JL is the current-generation Wrangler, refining the iconic off-roader with better on-road manners, technology, and efficiency.
Launched in 2018, the JL generation modernized the Wrangler while carefully preserving its iconic design and legendary capability. It improved ride comfort, interior quality, and technology, and added efficient turbocharged and plug-in hybrid (4xe) powertrains.
The JL retains the Wrangler's defining features: solid axles, removable doors and top, a folding windshield, and serious off-road hardware in Rubicon trim. The plug-in hybrid 4xe became one of the best-selling plug-in hybrids in the US.
The JL balances heritage and modernity, keeping the Wrangler the benchmark for open-air, go-anywhere SUVs while improving everyday usability.
