Scion iM: The Sporty Compact Hatchback
The Scion iM was a five-door compact hatchback offering practicality and standard features at a value price, later becoming the Toyota Corolla iM.
Introduced for 2016, the iM was a compact hatchback based on the Toyota Auris/Corolla sold in other markets. It offered sporty styling, a well-equipped standard specification, and Scion's simple, no-haggle pricing approach.
Powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the iM prioritized efficiency, practicality, and value over performance. Its generous standard equipment and hatchback versatility made it an appealing entry-level choice.
The iM arrived just as Scion was being wound down, so it quickly transitioned to become the Toyota Corolla iM (and later the Corolla Hatchback) when the brand closed in 2016.
