GMC Syclone: The Turbocharged Muscle Truck
The Syclone was a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive muscle truck that could out-accelerate contemporary sports cars.
Produced in 1991, the GMC Syclone was an extraordinary high-performance pickup based on the compact Sonoma. It featured a turbocharged V6 producing around 280 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and performance that allowed it to out-accelerate contemporary sports cars like the Ferrari 348 to 60 mph.
Built in limited numbers for a single model year, the Syclone was a sleeper truck of legendary status, sacrificing towing and payload for blistering straight-line speed. Its black paint and red accents marked it as something special.
The Syclone is a cult icon, one of the quickest production vehicles of its era and a pioneer of the high-performance sport-truck concept.
