Audi
Audi's high-performance wagon. C5, C6, C7, C8 generations with twin-turbo V8 making 600+ horsepower. The wagon for buyers who want sport sedan power and family cargo.
The Audi RS6 is a high-performance wagon (Avant) and sometimes sedan produced from 2002 to the present across four generations: C5 (2002-2004), C6 (2008-2010), C7 (2013-2018), and current C8 (2019-present, sold as RS6 Performance starting 2024+). The RS6 is the most powerful and expensive A6 variant, providing sport sedan performance in a wagon body style with quattro all-wheel drive. The RS6 has consistently used twin-turbocharged V8 engines. C5 RS6: 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 making 444-480 horsepower. C6 RS6: 5.0-liter twin-turbo V10 (the only V10 RS6) making 572 horsepower. C7 RS6: 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 552-605 horsepower. C8 RS6 Performance (2024+): 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 621 horsepower combined output. The C7 RS6 Avant (2013-2018) was particularly significant as the model that built strong North American demand despite never being sold there. North American RS6 owners have imported wagons through grey-market channels or Canadian dealer arrangements. The C8 RS6 Performance has been confirmed for North American sale starting 2024-2025. The RS6 is a niche product but with intense enthusiast appeal. The combination of wagon practicality, sport sedan power, and quattro all-wheel drive provides a unique value proposition. Few competitors directly compete with the RS6; the Mercedes-AMG E63 Wagon (in some markets) and BMW M3 Touring (recent return) are the closest equivalents. On WhipJury, RS6 submissions are uncommon but always memorable. C7 and C8 RS6 Avant cars are most common. Modified RS6s with various performance upgrades appear regularly. The wagon-with-power formula generates strong community engagement.
