Rolls-Royce Corniche: The Grand Convertible
The Corniche was Rolls-Royce's luxurious two-door coupe and convertible, the epitome of stately open-top grand touring for decades.
Introduced in 1971, the Corniche was a refined two-door derivative of the Silver Shadow, offered as both a coupe and a convertible. Hand-built to exacting standards, it became one of the brand's longest-running models, with the convertible enduring well into the 1990s.
Powered by Rolls-Royce's V8, the Corniche emphasized effortless, silent cruising and supreme comfort over outright performance. Its timeless, elegant lines and sumptuous craftsmanship made it a favorite among the wealthy and famous.
The Corniche name was later revived for a model based on the Silver Seraph, but the original remains an icon of classic Rolls-Royce open-top luxury.
