Oldsmobile Alero: The Final Compact Oldsmobile
The Alero was Oldsmobile's compact car of the late 1990s and early 2000s, one of the brand's last models before its closure.
Produced from 1999 to 2004, the Alero was Oldsmobile's compact sedan and coupe, replacing the Achieva. With more contemporary styling and improved quality, it aimed to give Oldsmobile a competitive entry in the compact class.
The Alero offered four-cylinder and V6 engines, a comfortable ride, and reasonable value. It was one of Oldsmobile's better-selling models in its final years as the brand wound down.
The Alero holds the distinction of being among the last Oldsmobiles produced before General Motors discontinued the storied brand in 2004.
