Oldsmobile Bravada: The Upscale Midsize SUV
The Bravada was Oldsmobile's midsize SUV, an upscale, all-wheel-drive version of GM's popular S-Series platform.
Produced across two main eras from 1991 to 2004, the Bravada was Oldsmobile's entry into the SUV market, based on the GMC Jimmy and Chevrolet Blazer (and later the TrailBlazer). It positioned itself as a more upscale, premium-trimmed version with standard all-wheel drive.
The Bravada offered V6 (later inline-six) power, a comfortable, well-equipped interior, and smart all-wheel-drive systems. It gave Oldsmobile buyers a premium midsize SUV option during the SUV boom.
The Bravada was one of Oldsmobile's final models before the brand closed, remembered as a refined, upscale take on GM's midsize SUV platform.
