Full-size luxury sedan (2006-2011). Northstar V8, DeVille successor. The last of the traditional front-drive Cadillacs.
The Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) succeeded the DeVille as a full-size front-drive luxury sedan with Northstar V8 power. It was among the last of the traditional, comfort-focused American luxury Cadillacs before the brand moved fully to rear-drive sport sedans and crossovers. It was popular with livery and chauffeur services for its space and ride. On WhipJury, the DTS appears as a comfortable, old-school full-size luxury sedan.
DTS specifications
Northstar 4.6 liter V8, around 275 to 292 horsepower. Front-wheel drive. Automatic. Full-size luxury sedan focused on comfort and space.

Why was the DTS popular with limo services?
Its space, smooth ride, and traditional luxury feel made it a favorite for livery and chauffeur use, and stretched versions were common.
Is the DTS rear-wheel drive?
No, it is front-wheel drive, in the traditional Cadillac full-size sedan style of the era.
What replaced the DTS?
The XTS took over as Cadillac large front-drive-based sedan, while the rear-drive CT6 later served as the flagship.
