The Air Dream Edition was the limited launch version of Lucid's flagship electric sedan, setting benchmarks for range and power.
The Dream Edition launched the Lucid Air in 2021 as a halo model showcasing the young California company's technology. It arrived in two flavors: Dream Edition Range, which achieved an EPA-rated range exceeding 500 miles, a production record at the time, and Dream Edition Performance, which prioritized power with over 1,000 horsepower.
Both versions demonstrated Lucid's remarkable efficiency, packaging long range and immense performance into a sleek, spacious sedan with a luxurious, tech-forward interior. The compact, highly efficient electric drivetrain freed up cabin space rivaling larger cars.
Limited to a small production run, the Dream Edition established Lucid as a serious challenger to Tesla and the German luxury brands, proving the startup could deliver class-leading electric vehicle engineering.
